Sustashift is a Finnish sustainability reporting advisor. We offer ready-to-use tools and advice for CSRD-compliant sustainability reporting.
We provide our clients with ready-to-use tools for automatic double materiality determination and CSRD-compliant report construction and tagging. Our products are more feature-rich than other products available on the market.
In addition, we can provide advice and writing assistance for double materiality determination and CSRD report construction.
We have advised some of Finland's largest companies in areas such as finance, banking, health technology, petroleum engineering, pension insurance, telecommunications, construction and the circular economy.
The company's name comes from the words sustainable shift. By providing tools and advice, we support your shift towards sustainable and responsible business models.
CSRD reporting
We offer the only product on the market that directly compiles all the obligations of the ESRS standards in pre-defined templates and automatically provides the required ESEF tags for the report without manual data and tag merging.
With the product, you can start writing your company's sustainability report directly and the data will appear in the correct format and order. The program delimits the report content on a company-by-company basis, based on the double materiality result. All guidelines and definitions related to obligations are imported from the standards ready for use.
The program automatically tags the report, saving approximately 1500-3000 hours of work that would be spent manually tagging the report. In addition, the software converts the report to the file format required by the authority and, as the only solution in the world, also validates the tags and automatically checks for possible errors.

Who’s shifting the gears?
I am Verneri Laakkonen, founder of Sustashift.
While working amidst corporate law, at a law firm, I noticed the need for companies to have access to tools and expertise to implement sustainability reporting.
My particular area of expertise is sustainability reporting legislation such as CSRD, SFDR and taxonomy. My goal is to help clients create high quality sustainability reporting, as well as to develop tools to assist with reporting.
